Busker Audition Days April 6th - 7th, 2012 Old Town, Albuquerque

As a celebration of the Busking tradition Old Town invites Albuquerque’s street musicians to come and perform on the best stage in town, Old Town’s Plaza Vieja Gazebo. Come and cheer on your favorite local musician and become familiar with this special class of artist, the street performer, who are willing to “put it on the line” in the most public of places on a daily basis. Participants must sign up prior to the event and will be chosen to perform based on a sample of their work. For buskers that participate in the event a sampling of their performance will be made available for venues in and around Old Town as well as city wide that are interested in inviting street performers to come and liven up “their neck of the woods”. If you are a venue and or know of a special street corner somewhere in the city where a busker might prosper along with the surrounding community then please come out for this very special first of its kind in Albuquerque, First Friday Festival of Buskers, and witness the broad array of talent that Albuquerque has to offer.
