Bio
Zenobia grew up singing in a Baptist church in East L.A. and made her professional theater debut at 18 in the L.A. and Broadway casts of HAiR. Studio backup singer: her claim to fame was in 1982 in NYC, when she debuted the disco hit, “It’s Raining Men” (co-written by HAiR alumni Paul Jabara). Advertising career: as an award-winning commercial producer, Zenobia produced huge talents Luther Van Dross, Lou Rawles, Sylvester Stallone, Steve Martin, Ossie Davis, Marcia Gay Harden, James Brown and Richie Havens, etc. Musician/singer/songwriter: 2001 – debuted her first CD, “Home”. 2014 – her CD “Resurrection” included the contemporary gospel single, “One More Night”, winner of the “Best Gospel Song” award/New Mexico Music Awards. Zenobia and music partner, Jay Boy Adams, released their album, “How Long, How Long” in 2014 and tour the US/Europe with their band. Zenobia is featured on Jay Boy’s Billboard-charted Americana CD, “Let It Go”.
