Platinum Music Awards Show

The Platinum Music Awards celebrate the role that the music industry plays in the cultural life and economic success of New Mexico. Six Platinum Music Awards (PMA) are presented annually to living musicians, individuals, or organizations that have demonstrated a lifetime of achievement in their musical idiom or have made a significant contribution to music in New Mexico. This award is the highest recognition in the state for our music industry.
The 2018 Platinum Music Awards Show is scheduled to take place Thursday, August 30, 2017 at the Lensic Performing Arts Center in Santa Fe. 2018 honorees are:

Hummingbird Music Camp ~ Jemez Springs ~ recipient of the Lee Berk Award
The Platinum Music Awards show is modeled after the Kennedy Center Honors. The musical variety format showcases the unique diversity of New Mexico’s music industry and features some of our state’s top performers.
Proceeds of the Platinum Music Awards show benefit the music education initiatives of the New Mexico Music Commission and Foundation, namely their Music in the Schools pilot with the Santa Fe Public Schools and their ART2ART program.
